Create your Signature Talk - Be seen, be heard

DATES: 9th, 16th, 23rd of May @ 18:30 - 20:30 (16th and 23rd will be at the Sparrowhawk function room)
6th June 18:00 - 22:00 (a longer session at The Paxton to include a voluntary performance of your speeches to an invited audience.)

In this workshop, you will learn how to create and deliver your signature talk to win new clients through speaking engagements. Many people give their talks and then walk away without any new clients. Having a well structured, prepared and rehearsed speech is vital to winning new business and be seen as a leader in your field. In this course, you will be guided on exactly how to craft your talk to achieve the right impact and give you the tools and techniques you need to deliver with confidence, whilst being yourself.

The workshop will run weekly over four evenings culminating in a friendly, invited audience, sharing a glass of wine whilst you present your speech. Kate will work closely with you to devise, structure and rehearse your signature talk so that you are ready to present and ultimately increase the visibility of your business, product or service.

With six years of experience as a public speaking coach, working with CEO's, entrepreneurs and businesses (including SKY broadcast, Manchester Jazz Festival, Mirrorweb, Emmerdale attractions, NCS Challenge) Kate brings all of her expertise to support you to create and deliver a speech that expresses who you are and clearly communicates your business or product having the impact that you want.

This will be a small group size of eight so that each participant can receive one to one attention during the course of the workshop.
What we’ll work on:

- Content
- Structure
- Delivery
- Vocal technique
- Combatting nerves
- Preparation
- Rehearsal

In addition, a fifteen-minute consultation prior to the workshop is offered in order to identify who to approach to deliver your signature speech. This workshop is designed for people who are ready to step up and grow their business. If you want to do this but have a fear of speaking in public then this is also the right course for you. The course is very practically led and will include exercises that increase confidence in presenting.

The final session will be a two-hour rehearsal followed by a sharing to an invited audience of family and friends so that you have a chance to practice in front of others and have the experience of what that feels like so that it’s not such a huge shock when it comes to doing it for real. So bring your business cards!

N.B. Please note that there is a one week break between the penultimate and final session to allow you time to learn and practice your speech.
