Have you always wanted to play the drums? Do you play them already? Either way this course is for you! Meet new people and have fun in Katie's relaxed environment and experience the joy of playing music with others. Katie will be supplying everything: drums, cymbals and percussion and sticks.

Expect to learn the drum beats to a song or two that you know, and maybe a song or two that you don't. Katie will be using the parts of a drum kit and splitting them up in the group so each person has one or two elements of the drum kit resulting in a massive groove ensemble!

What we'll be looking at over the 3 sessions:

1st Session 12 April 7pm to 8pm

Introduction to the parts of the drum kit and basic rhythms, stick technique, how to play together in a group

2nd Session 19 April 7pm to 8pm

Recap from last week, coordination and rhythmic development, basic song structure, improvising

3rd Session 26 April 7pm to 8pm

Beat/Groove variations, song structure development, further rhythm work and introduction to soloing

All equipment provided, no experience necessary.

Can't make it to all 3 sessions? No worries, just come to the ones you can make! If you'd like to come to all 3 sessions you need to individually book each one.
