Stunflower is a mash-up of rock, funk, reggae, bliss-seeking jam .....formed last summer & based in SE London. Bass player/composer Alex Barrett of Lee joins Canadian couple Thomas & Devaki now of South Norwood...music-veterans/life-partners and active members of the SE London arts scene for the last 7 years.
Stunflower are excited to celebrate the launch of their 1st music video filmed by The Thomas Brothers (Playhouse Pictures). The song, 'Modavader' was written this spring when Thomas' explored a seldom used mode on the guitar and added ancient Sanskrit text to create a gritty dance tune.
The song got great response at The Paxton Centre's famed music nights so the idea is to host their launch party at the venue seems a perfect fit.
The video shoot felt like a mini festival on a sunny day this May in South Norwood Country Park, with 30 dancers and 10 crew/friends from 10 different countries, age ranges 3 - 60 and every part of London....complete with dogs, kids, food, drink, drones and tons of face-painting, dancing and carrying on.
The party will feature a screening of 'Modavader' some other trailers by The Thomas Brothers and a set of music from Stunflower.
