Everyone has the capacity to be creative.
Collaging is a wonderful activity whether you are a complete beginner or more experienced artist. This art form is a natural way to practice mindfulness, tap into your creativity, de-stress and have some fun.
During this workshop you are invited to relax, let go, be playful and enjoy the process! Your collage can be as simple or as complex as you like and there is no right or wrong.
Easily accessible ways to be be mindful will be introduced during the workshop and you’ll be guided through as much, or as little as you choose, in the process of creating your collage.
The afternoon is really about tapping into your creativity in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the company of others. Come on your own or come with friends. You'll be looked after warmly by your hosts.
Each person will be given their own personal Collage Kit which consists of an array of different textured and finishes of papers and images, A4 backing card, scissors and glue. Additional magazines and images will be available. All you need to bring is a sense of curiosity and openness. If you have an image you want to include feel free to bring it along. Your artwork will be framed in a photo mount to take home at the end of the session and can be framed on the day for an additional cost if you wish.
Your hosts for the workshop are Rehana and Rebecca from Mindful ReSpace. Rehana is a Mindfulness Teacher with a background in Textile Design and Art Direction in the UK TV Industry. Rebecca is a Craniosacral Therapist and Fine Artist.
