Our monthly meet-up on the last Thursday of the month starts at 11am with a 15 minute skill share talk on a relevant topic for freelancers followed by a Q&A session.
This month's skill share speakers are Nicole and Claire from ‘Social Style Pro’ with a very useful talk on getting the best our of your social media.
September Reset: Instagram Survival Guide for Freelancers September is a natural reset moment - that back-to-school feeling. It’s the perfect time to check in on your Instagram and make sure it’s working for you, not against you.
In this session, we will share the latest updates you need to know in 2025, plus a practical housekeeping checklist to refresh your profile and grid. You’ll leave with 3–5 simple actions you can take immediatly to feel more confident, attract the right clients, and make Instagram a stronger tool for your freelance business. We will then open the floor for general networking. Expect it to be fun, thought provoking and a great way to meet other business owners and freelancers in a relaxed setting.
Arrive by 10:30am to give your self time to buy a drink, meet others and grab a seat. Free entry, but please do buy refreshments from the café to support the Centre.
This drop-in co-working day is a good opportunity to meet other local freelancers and local business owners. Light-touch, no stress networking. Refreshments: tea, coffee, soft drinks, snacks and lunches available all day.

We offer hotdesking at The Paxton Centre from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm in a vibrant yet chilled environment.
Our co-working space covers 2 floors with 7 desks on our mezzanine and additional tables in our main space. All desks upstairs have electric points with USB sockets and access to plug sockets downstairs. We charge £7.50 for a 3-hour slot which includes a hot or cold drink of your choice and access to WIFI. You can double up on slots and stay for longer too. Additional hours charged at £2.50 per hour. Pre booking in advance is recommended to secure a slot.
