This NEW Pottery Workshop introduces you to the the wonderful world of ceramics and the several techniques we use to create unique pieces. Suitable for beginners. The day will be divided into 2 parts and 2 groups featuring hand building and wheel throwing 3 hour sessions. Limited 10 places (2 x groups of 5) come with a friend or makes new friends!

Part 1 from 10am to 1pm

Lunch Break 1-2pm

Part 2 from 2pm to 5pm

Throwing - You will learn the basics of throwing on a pottery wheel including centering and pulling up walls to shape into basic forms including bowls, planters or small vases.

Hand-building - You will learn to make tiles, pinch pots, coil pots and a mug with a pulled handle using a white earthenware clay. You will also learn several decorating techniques using a range of resources.

We will glaze 3-4 of your best pieces using a coloured glaze of your choice from a wide range. Your pieces will be ready to collect up to 4 weeks after the day. We will confirm the collection date on the day.
