Up next for our 'Eclectics' World Music series we are thrilled to welcome The Vanguards.
The Vanguards Trio are a three-piece bluegrass band based in London, featuring the three founding members of The Vanguards. Consisting of Jack Baker on mandolin, Chris Lord on banjo and Laura Nailor on fiddle, they've been wowing audiences since 2015 with their high lonesome three-part harmonies and instrumental prowess. As well as performing masterful interpretations of bluegrass classics, they write and perform wholly original music which evokes the sound and feel of bluegrass music’s pioneers. The Vanguards released South of the River, their debut full-length recording featuring thirteen all-original compositions, in 2022.
