About CPAOH
“The 2025 Crystal Palace Artists’ Open House is a vibrant celebration of our community’s creative spirit. Now in its fifth year, the event offers a unique opportunity to connect with talented artists, designers, and makers who enrich SE19 and beyond with their work. From contemporary art to handcrafted designs, each piece tells a story, reflecting the rich creative heritage of Crystal Palace—a tradition that began with The Great Exhibition of 1854 and continues today. The event is about more than just art; it’s about community. By taking part, you’re helping to sustain the creative energy that makes Crystal Palace such a special place.”
Exhibiting Artists
Cherrill Parris Fox - www.parrisfox.com
“I Studied Fashion/Textiles at Central St Martins. Followed by a career in the industry, clients including Conrad Design, The Sunday Times, The NY Times Country Life, Fortnam and Masons, Selfridges and Hamleys toy shop. I taught drawing skills to foundation students and was a visiting lecturer at The Royal College of Art. I am currently based on South London.”
Tom Norman - @tomonorman_art
“Tom’s abstract paintings explore subconscious emotional states and responses to both the existential and the everyday. Working primarily with acrylic paint, his process begins with visual prompts — what he calls “eating with my eyes” — or emotional responses drawn from somatic therapeutic practice. His work is defined by sensitive colour relationships, structural counterpoints, and shallow layering techniques that evoke emotional resonance.”
Daphnea Wenham @daphneawenham.com
“Daphnea Wenham is a Canadian-born artist based in London, UK.
She studied Music and Visual Arts at a fine arts institution in Montreal and now focuses on photography. Her work is inspired by travel, music, community, and humanity. Her art can best be characterised as adventurous, ethereal, and at times journalistic, inviting both the artist and the viewer to explore and celebrate the layers of life together."
My curiosity fuels my passion for street and portraiture, inspiring me to seek out authentic moments and unseen stories in everyday life. Photography becomes a way to explore human expression and the unique narratives behind each face and place. Through this work, I aim to celebrate individuality and our shared humanity, finding beauty in both the ordinary and the extraordinary.”
Luana Asiata - www.luanaasiata.com
“Luana is an award-winning London based abstract artist. She is a full-time artist, returning to her love of art at the beginning of the pandemic in 2020 after raising her young family. Luana works primarily in a semi abstract impressionist style, she employs gestural brushstrokes, utilising oils and acrylics to express how she feels and where she’s been. Her paintings explore the power of nature and immersive landscapes that link back to her childhood. Those memories often find their way into the rhythm of her work.”
Jonny Kemp - www.jonnykempart.co.uk
“Jonny lives in southeast London. Graduating with BA English in 2011, he worked as an English teacher until July 2023. He left teaching to pursue a new career as an artist.
He's explored the importance of community through his ‘South Drawood ’exhibition, celebrating the people of South Norwood, his local area. These were drawn in his distinctive style of fine liner pen. In 2023, he was a contestant on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year, drawing the BAFTA-winning actor Lenny Rush.”
Fiona Suarez @fionasuarez_art
A visual artist creating pen and ink drawings, all meticulously hand drawn, along with limited edition prints that explore stillness, transformation and the beauty of overlooked things.
“Rooted in a background in design and art direction, her work balances precision and accident, combining observational drawing with a minimal aesthetic. This is characterised by clean lines, restrained detail and thoughtful use of empty space, encouraging the viewer to slow down and look closely. She continues to create new series that reflect personal and creative renewal.”
Luka Gille - www.instagram.com/pinkwolf_official
“I’m Luka, a self-taught surreal portrait photographer with a Master’s in Translation Studies. I’m deeply fascinated by the idea of destiny — and especially by how we actively shape ourselves and our own path in life. I create work that intertwines personal history, resilience, and transformation."
My journey in photography has been entirely self-directed, shaped by a precarious background and a drive to turn vulnerability into strength. I have exhibited in Paris and at the Crystal Palace Artist Open House 2024, sharing surreal, symbolic portraits that invite viewers to reflect on their own identity and embrace change. Each image is both a personal reflection and an open invitation to connect.”
Looking forward to this amazing festival of art!
