Come and join us at The Paxton Centre Friday 10th July to celebrate the launch of our upcoming Photography Exhibition, celebrating a diverse range of London-based artists. Showcasing perspectives across street, people, places, landscapes and local culture, the exhibition highlights the richness and creativity of contemporary photography in the UK.
We warmly invite you the launch party 6-9pm as a chance to experience the exhibition, meet the artists, buy some work and enjoy an evening of art and community. We’d love to see you there.
Exhibiting Artists
Lou Corio Randall @coriographs
An amateur photographer from the Crystal Palace area with an attraction to finding bold geometry and pattern in unexpected and sometimes seemingly mundane places.
Medeleine Hackney @madstakesnaps
Madeleine Hackney is a South East London-based graphic designer and creative lead, emerging photographer originally from Margate. Her work focuses on emotion, memory and everyday moments, often exploring the tension between connection and disconnection in modern life.
Drawing from her experience as a mother, her recent series Missed Moments reflects on childhood in the digital age through quiet, intimate observations of presence, comfort and distraction. This is her first personal photographic series.
Giovanni 'Messi’ Messina @unfoldingoftime
Photographer, filmmaker and multidisciplinary movement artist specialising in story telling & emotions' expressivity. These artworks are samples from his extensive imagery archive called 'Unfolding Of Time', an inquisitive safe space where analogue film and digital realms join forces to create timeless magic.
Giovanni's approach to creating is spontaneous yet keen-eyed and immersive. Camera-in-hands, he explores the whole range, from soulful portraiture (& self-portraiture) to street photography and everything in between. Capturing mundane fleeting moments and details that often goes unnoticed.. specially in a fast-paced city like London, where everything is on-the-go and everyone is rushing somewhere! ..however, juxtaposedly enough, G'M'M finds photography to be a soothing practice that allows him to slow down and be present 'in the here & now' while also continue nurturing his love for people, art and knowledge.
Heather Martin @hmartinphotos
I am a London-based photographer. My photography represents time, space and a sense of place. I try to capture a mood, feeling, a story and a sense of time and place.
Much of my work is both film and digitally based, including exploring these themes using a smartphone. I have found this has given an added sense of fleeting moments. I am a member of London Independent Photography and SE20 Art Group.
Daniel Lane @daniellanephoto
I’m a documentary photographer interested in people, behaviour, and the often curious details of everyday life. Over the past twenty years I’ve photographed documentary projects in the UK and overseas, creating long-form stories and portraits shaped by observation, research, and human connection. In 2020, I began documenting life in London during the pandemic, focusing on the subtle shifts in behaviour and public space. The resulting body of work became a book Where Distance Kept is Love’s Measure.
I hold a First Class MA in Photojournalism & Documentary Photography from the University of Westminster, and have also taught at The London School of Photography. My work has taken me across Japan, Brazil, Nigeria, Cuba, and Madagascar. My interest in photography began in my grandfather’s darkroom as a child, where storytelling and image-making first became intertwined for me. I live locally in Anerley and also work with organisations including The Crystal Palace Park Trust, along with other community groups.
Yulia Yoldina @yuliayoldina
Yulia is a photographer and clothing designer and maker. She works exclusively with analogue photography techniques (such as black-and-white film processing and cyanotype) and enjoys simplicity, deep focus, and a genuine human touch throughout the process. Her printing practice is currently focussed on making and experimenting with plant-based photographic development solutions. Yulia first fell in love with film photography as a child, drawn to the magic of the darkroom, working with her mum and watching silver grains appear on photographic paper. She took various courses at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, to develop her passion for photography and design. In 2025, Yulia set up a professionally equipped darkroom studio, where she invites visitors to take part in analogue photography workshops.
