Exhibition Launch Night - South London Women Artists - February Group Show

February sees the gallery take over by South London Women Artists (SLWA) https://southlondonwomenartists.co.uk/about-us/

1st - 20th February.

Having exhibited with us a couple of times in the past, it’s a pleasure to invite them back for one of our final groups shows. Come and meet the artists, enjoy a drink from the bar and see their work on sale and display.

“South London Women Artists (SLWA) is a non-profit association of established and emerging women artists living and working in South London.

SLWA was established in 2008 by two Friends of the Dulwich Picture Gallery: Leone Cronin and Jenny Sweeney. They created a website to showcase the work of women artists based in Southwark, Lewisham and Lambeth.  Enthusiasm for the website spawned a community of women artists and a collective was formed.

South London Women Artists is now a not-for-profit unincorporated association; managed and run by its members, all of whom volunteer their time and expertise. It is self-financed and independent.

SLWA programmes exhibitions, events and professional development, sharing the expertise of members and also inviting women from a range of professions within the art world (artists, writers, lecturers, teachers, publishers, gallerists) to share their expertise. Members offer mutual support to each other in developing, exhibiting and promoting work.

There are currently about 90 active members who come from diverse backgrounds, span generations and work across a range of mediums and genres.

Hope to see you there!
