Short Story Writing - One Day Workshop

Join us for this new one-day short story-writing workshop guided and led by local author Zoe Fairbairns. While encouraging you to write, Zoe will invite you to consider such questions as

-       What is a story? Must it have a beginning, middle and end – and must they necessarily be in that order?

 -       How can you grab your reader’s attention – and keep it?

 -       What has to happen in a story? If nothing happens, is it still a story?

 -       How can you end your story in such a way that the reader is satisfied – but still wants more?

 -       Which published stories have you enjoyed? How can you give similar enjoyment to your reader

 WHAT TO BRING:

Your preferred writing equipment: laptop, smartphone, or even pen and paper. And a vivid imagination.
